Take one cup of cooked soya chunks, one big boiled potato/ two medium sized boiled potatoes, one cup of soaked poha (rice flakes) in a bowl.

One important tip, after its cooked, soya chunks tend to swell up. The chunk expands and grows bigger than its original size. So the soya chunks are almost 1 and half cup.

Now add two teaspoons of Garam masala (found in every Indian household, it basically means a powder of a certain combination of spices) , one teaspoon (flat) of black paper powder , two teaspoons of ginger garlic paste , one teaspoon of red chili powder, quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder;

Lastly salt, according to the quantity of all the ingredients above (that includes the base ingredients and the spices, seasonings).

Now add mix minced vegetables of your choice (could be minced or grated capsicum, corn, cauliflower, onions, coriander/ parsley). You can do it without the vegetables if you want. But veggies make it healthier and chunkier.

Mash potatoes, rice flakes and mix all other ingredients (mentioned above) in the bowl. That includes the cooked Soya chunks.

Now blend it together with the help of food processor or blender.

Let this dough rest for five to ten min so that all the spices are absorbed in the base ingredients and all the flavors are fused well with each other .

If you find the dough too soft to bind the patty, you can add a slice or two of Brown bread. That helps to bind everything together.

Then make small/ big patties (depending on your usage) of this dough. Shallow fry or deep fry it according to their size and the usage.

Serve them hot.

These patties can be enjoyed as an independent dish that can be served with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.

Or you can use these patties in burger along with salad leaflets and a sauce that's not too spicy.
